Sharon Good, MA, LPC-S
In 1988, I was asked by my church to become a lay counselor for women, and it did not take me long to discover that I needed more training than just lay counseling training. I began my Master’s Degree in Counseling at Liberty University in 1992 as a stay-at-home mom with three young children. I graduated in 1995 and then began a fully licensed Professional Counselor in 1998. I have had the privilege of starting counseling centers in three different churches and helping many others over the year to also begin counseling centers. I decided about fifteen years ago to focus on giving back to my profession by supervising LPC Interns (now Associates). I trained under Mark Laaser from Faithful & True Ministries to become certified in the Diagnosis & Treatment of Sexual Addictions. I am also certified in Grief, Trauma & Loss from the H. Norm Wright Institute, since trauma is typically associated with Sexual Addiction.
